About this event
The "21st Hikawa Town Pear Marathon" will be held in Hikawa Town, Kumamoto Prefecture. Running along the fruit road in the refreshing breeze of early autumn during the delicious season for Yoshino pears, this tournament is an event that can be enjoyed with family and friends. There are 10 km and 3 km events, and anyone in good health who is in elementary school or older can participate. Elementary school students are limited to the 3 km course only. The event will take place centered around Hikawa Town Ryuhoku Park, with the opening ceremony at 9:00 AM, the 10 km start at 10:00 AM, and the 3 km start at 10:10 AM. The awards ceremony will take place after the competition concludes. Entry registration is handled via Sports Entry, with a participant capacity of 1,500 runners (10 km: 1,000 runners, 3 km: 500 runners). Registration will close once capacity is reached. Parking is available at Ryuhoku Higashi Elementary School, Ryuhoku Grounds, etc., but the parking lot inside Ryuhoku Park and Michi-no-Eki Ryuhoku cannot be used. The use of free shuttle buses is recommended.
