This exhibition uncovers the uniqueness that only Hello Kitty possesses, under the theme of 50 years of "Kitty and Me." Reaching a half-century since her creation and loved across the globe, Hello Kitty's hint to uniqueness lies in her relationship with each and every fan. This exhibition delves deep into her appeal across various sections, featuring the largest collection of merchandise in Hello Kitty exhibition history, collaborative works with distinctive artists, and original video content. Visitors can trace Kitty's history of being able to stay close to anyone precisely because of her ability to transform, featuring displays of rare early plush toys, numerous goods released in the past, exhibits explaining how Kitty changed while actively absorbing the zeitgeist of each era, original video works by video director Atsushi Makino, the Gotochi (regional) Kitty series, and early character collaboration items. In addition, illustrations on the theme of "Me and Kitty" by 30 artists, including newly drawn works for this exhibition, are displayed, allowing visitors to enjoy connecting them with their own memories.
