A tournament for "Boccia", a sport that anyone can enjoy together regardless of age or athletic experience, will be held at the Honbetsu Town Gymnasium on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The "Honbetsu Boccia Tournament" welcomes participants from both inside and outside the town, aiming to create opportunities to get active and deepen regional exchanges through Boccia, which everyone can enjoy together. Boccia is a sport where players compete to see how close they can throw red and blue balls to a white target ball called the "jack ball", featuring the appeal that strategy in choosing targets and reading ball placement determines victory rather than physical strength. On the day, the tournament starts at 8:45 AM. Recruitment is open for 30 teams from within the town and 30 teams from outside the town, with 3 to 6 players per team. Why not try out a new sport in Honbetsu during this autumn season of sports?
