"Lake Onneto Story 2026," held in Ashoro Town, Hokkaido, is an event set at the mystical lake "Onneto." Visitors can experience various outdoor activities amidst the beautiful pristine nature of Lake Onneto, one of Hokkaido's three major secret lakes. Experiences include bonfires, fire-starting, hammocks, and saunas. In addition, the one-day-only "Forest Art Museum" will display winning and submitted entries from the Lake Onneto Photo Contest, transforming the virgin forest into an art-gallery-like space. At the "Forest Kitchen," local restaurants will open stalls offering food menus made with local ingredients. With nature experience classes, an Onneto concert, and more, the event is packed with activities to fully enjoy Lake Onneto with all five senses. Free shuttle buses will also operate between Roadside Station Ashoro Ginga Hall 21 (Michi-no-Eki Ashoro Ginga Hall 21) and the event venue.
