Held at Bungo Mori Roundhouse Park in Kusu Town, Oita Prefecture, "The 23rd Engine Shed Festival" is an event for families and friends to enjoy. Stage events will feature brass band music, dance, true-or-false quiz games (O/X games), and more. Inside the venue, mini train and mini steam locomotive (SL) ride experiences (200 yen per ride) are available and popular with children. There will also be displays of special vehicles such as Self-Defense Forces vehicles, police cars, fire engines, and heavy construction machinery, as well as ride experiences on aluminum carts that actually run on the railway tracks. In addition, activities like walking through a giant carp streamer, hands-on craft workshops, food and beverage booths, and a blood donation booth will be set up, offering plenty to enjoy all day.
