The "Yatate Kogen Festival," held in Shiiba Village, Miyazaki Prefecture, is an event set in the nature-rich Yatate Kogen Campground that heralds the arrival of summer. Scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, various attractions are planned starting from 10:30 AM. The event will feature a wide range of activities, including fish catching for children, powerful Heike Big Ginkgo Taiko drumming, a relaxing Hawaiian show, as well as stage performances by Murakami Sangendo and local residents. In addition, a much-anticipated grand lottery will take place to greatly liven up the venue. At the venue, visitors can enjoy the event while savoring barbecues featuring Shiiba beef and Miyazaki beef. It is a popular event that attracts many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture every year. Auto-camping and cottages are also available, allowing guests to fully enjoy the event while staying overnight.
