4th National Mountain Stream Fishing Tournament

The '4th National Mountain Stream Fishing Tournament' held in Gokase Town, Miyazaki Prefecture, is set around the Sangasho River below the town office and is a popular event for making summer memories and for visiting families returning home. Registration begins early in the morning, and you can fully enjoy the best of mountain stream fishing throughout the day, from the fishing start time to the weigh-in and closing ceremony. With a participation fee of 3,000 yen for adults (junior high school students and older) and 1,500 yen for children (elementary school students and younger), you can enjoy fishing in the nature-rich mountain streams of Gokase Town. In case of bad weather or rising water levels, the tournament may be postponed (to August 29) or canceled, so please check in advance. The venue is the Gokase Town Office Multipurpose Plaza Parking Lot, and parking spaces for 50 vehicles are available. For inquiries, contact the Gokase Tourism Association (Tel: 0982-82-1200).
