Held in Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture, the Yoneto Summer Festival 2026 will take place at Komenotsu Sports Park on Saturday, August 22, 2026 (Reiwa 8). From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, a variety of events are scheduled for local residents and visitors to enjoy. Through the Tanabata decoration contest and children's portable shrine (kodomo mikoshi), you can experience local traditions and the vibrant energy of children. In addition, the Summer Night Marche will feature local restaurants and general merchandise stores, creating a lively atmosphere. On the stage, performances across a wide range of genres including health gymnastics, dance, Wadaiko Japanese drums, and live band performances will be showcased to enliven the venue. With diverse programs planned such as folk dance, hula dance, acoustic guitar singing, and band performances, you can enjoy a summer evening while cooling off. Access is also convenient with free shuttle buses running. This festival aims to revitalize the local community and create summer memories.
