📅 Sat, Sep 26, 2026 - Sun, Sep 27, 2026
About this event
The "Ibusuki Onsen Festival," which gives thanks for the blessings of the rich hot springs bubbling up in Ibusuki City, will be held with Central Park Ibusuki as the main venue. On the first day of the festival, stages will unfold with citizen performing arts and special guests, beginning with the Hanya Dance that envelops the town in enthusiasm. On the second day, a heroic portable shrine (mikoshi) procession is held, and a fireworks display will decorate the festival's finale. Spectacular fireworks and 2-shaku shells lighting up the entire night sky will gorgeously color the night of Ibusuki. The festival will be held from 15:30 to 21:00 on the first day, from 12:00 to 21:00 on the second day, and the fireworks display starts at 19:30. In the case of stormy weather, only the fireworks display may be postponed to the following day. 300 free parking spaces are available at Ibusuki City Hall and Tanba Elementary School, and temporary free shuttle buses will operate from the Ibusuki City Hall parking lot to near the festival venue between 16:00 and 21:30. The fireworks display can be viewed from Central Park (the festival venue).
