The 38th Santaro Festival, held in Amami City, Kagoshima Prefecture, is an event where visitors can experience the charm of Amami, where rich nature and unique culture thrive. It will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026 (Reiwa 8) at Sumiyo Uchiumi Children's Plaza. On the event stage, passionate performances by local residents will take place, and performers are currently being recruited. Support for the fireworks display is also possible through Hometown Tax donations, celebrating the 5th anniversary of Amami's World Natural Heritage inscription while carrying out efforts to connect this festival to the future. It is a community-rooted festival where you can feel the tradition and vibrant energy of Amami firsthand.
