The 12th Isa Half Relay Marathon

Held in Isa City, Kagoshima Prefecture, "The 12th Isa Half Relay Marathon" is an exhilarating relay marathon event where teams pass the tasuki sash to complete 30 laps along a 700-meter shaded road created by rows of cherry blossom trees in Tadamoto Park. It will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, with reception at 8:00, the opening ceremony at 9:00, and the start at 9:30. The time limit is 2 hours, ending at 11:30. The venue is Tadamoto Park (2484-193 Oguchi Harada, Isa City), and parking is available. The entry fee is 3,500 yen per person for general participants and 2,000 yen per person for college students and younger (including sports insurance). Teams consist of 4 to 20 members, and registration runs from Wednesday, July 1 to Monday, August 17, limited to the first 50 teams. The event will take place rain or shine. About 80% of the course is shaded by cherry trees, allowing runners to enjoy Isa City's beautiful nature while running. Participants receive a commemorative T-shirt, and general participants receive a 500-yen food ticket. In addition, performance awards and a lottery featuring Isa City specialty products are planned. All team members must run at least one lap, and the running order and number of laps are flexible. The tasuki relay takes place in designated relay zones. As there are no aid stations set up, participants must bring their own hydration drinks. Finisher certificates can be downloaded online at a later date.
