17th Yusui Town Fireworks Display

The 17th Yusui Town Fireworks Display, held in Yusui Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, is a locally cherished event featuring approximately 5,000 fireworks that illuminate the night sky. The venue offers convenient access—a 10-minute walk from JR Kurino Station and about a 2-minute drive from the Kurino IC on the Kyushu Expressway—along with free parking capable of accommodating around 300 vehicles. While the fireworks launch runs for one hour from 20:00 to 21:00, the venue opens at 17:00 with around 40 food stalls serving local gourmet food, sweets, and light snacks, allowing visitors to enjoy the lively atmosphere before the show starts. Viewing areas are open free of charge, making it easy for anyone to enjoy the fireworks. In the event of stormy weather, the display will be postponed to the following day, Sunday, August 30. As an essential event for regional revitalization, donation support through the Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation) program is also accepted.
