Minamitane Town Furusato Festival

Minamitane Town is conducting crowdfunding utilizing the hometown tax donation system to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the enforcement of the town organization. As part of the commemorative projects, the "Minamitane Town Furusato Festival" will be held from November 2 to 3, 2026. Over the two days, various events are scheduled to liven up the local area. On the first day, stage presentations and exhibitions will take place, and on the second day, a commemorative ceremony, local performing arts, and direct sales of local specialties will be held. In addition, as part of the 70th anniversary commemorative projects, a fireworks display with 15,000 fireworks and a piano concert by Gohei Nishikawa, a 7-fingered pianist based in New York, will also be held. These projects aim to reaffirm the history and culture built by predecessors, increase affection and pride for the hometown, and connect to a hopeful future. It will be an opportunity to support the development of a town that has a space center.
