35th Hiratomi Festival

The "35th Hiratomi Festival," a major summer festival in Yamato Village, Kagoshima Prefecture, is an event where you can enjoy boat rowing races with heated battles and fireworks lighting up the night sky. For this 35th edition, the boat rowing races and stage events will be held over two days. On Saturday, August 29, the boat rowing race will be held, with the opening ceremony at 9:30, followed by the competition start at 10:00, and the closing ceremony at 15:00. On the following day, Sunday, August 30, stage events will take center stage, featuring a children's mikoshi shrine parade from 17:30 and a hero show from 18:35. Then, fireworks will decorate the night sky from 20:00, and a lottery is scheduled from 20:30. The application period for the boat rowing race and night stalls is from Monday, July 27 to Friday, August 14; please check related materials and submit to the Hiratomi Festival Executive Committee. Please note that there is a change in the participation fee for the boat rowing race. The venue is Hedono Port Waterfront Green Space in Yamato Village, Kagoshima Prefecture.
