The 2nd Setouchi Sports Festival

Held in Setouchi Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, the "2nd Setouchi Sports Festival" is a hands-on sports event that everyone can enjoy regardless of age, gender, or disability. Aiming for participation across a broad demographic from toddlers to seniors, it adopts the catchphrase "Play, Watch, and Support Sports." On the day, participants can try out a total of 15 diverse sporting events, including classic sports like baseball, sumo, soft volleyball, table tennis, and tennis, as well as the 100-meter dash, kick bikes, new sports, and trampolines. Sports federations and specialist instructors will provide guidance, allowing participants to freely tour booths according to their interests and experience various sports. In addition, food truck sales are planned as part of the festival for all-day enjoyment. Furthermore, ground golf and other programs are scheduled to be held on the same day at junior high schools on Kakeromajima and Ukejima islands.
