About this event

Commemorating the 5th anniversary of the World Natural Heritage registration, a research presentation focusing on the Amami rabbit, a symbol of Tokunoshima, will be held. Photographer Futoshi Hamada, who has researched the Amami rabbit for many years, will serve as the speaker. Through precious recorded footage, he will provide an in-depth report on the ecology of the Amami rabbit, which has remained largely unknown until now. This is an opportunity to deepen understanding of this unique creature fostered by Amami's rich nature. Admission is free, and no advance registration is required.
