'Tedako Pocket Festa: The 49th Urasoe Tedako Festival' is a major event held in Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture. Starting in 2023, 'Urasoe Culture Park' has been used as the main venue, and the official name was also changed. 'Tedako' means 'Child of the Sun.' The main festival will be held over two days on Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, 2026. Venues include the main venue Urasoe Culture Park, as well as I'm Universe Tedako Hall and ANA ARENA Urasoe (gymnasium). As an eve festival on Friday, October 16, 'Hiiya Sai-sai' will be held on Yafuso Main Street (pedestrian zone), where visitors can enjoy karaoke contests, street performances, and Eisa Michijune parades by youth associations. On the first day of the main festival, Saturday, October 17, the 'Urasoe Three Great Dynasties Festival' will be held on the main stage, featuring an impressive performance by over 300 participants in total. In addition, on both Saturday, the 17th, and Sunday, the 18th, guest concerts by a diverse range of artists with deep ties to Urasoe City will take place. The fireworks show marking the festival's finale will be held over the two days of Saturday, October 17, and Sunday, October 18, scheduled to be launched from 19:50 to 20:00 on both days. This festival features diverse events such as the Urasoe Three Great Dynasties Festival, Tedako Dance Festival, Youth Eisa, Summer Young Festa, and the Tedako Harii Race at Makiminato Fishing Port, offering content that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
