About this event

The Kumiodori Appreciation Class, performed annually to promote Kumiodori, will be held in October and November 2026. In Part 1, host Yurisa Nakamine will introduce 'The World of Kumiodori,' explaining the appeal of Kumiodori in an easy-to-understand manner. In Part 2, the masterpiece 'Shushin Kaneiri' by Tamagusuku Chokun, the founder of Kumiodori, will be staged. This performance provides a valuable opportunity to pass on the tradition and artistry of Kumiodori to the next generation. Weekday performances are for school groups and not available for general public sale, but a general public performance is scheduled for November 1 (Sun), allowing everyone to experience the world of Kumiodori.
