Skymark Presents 5th Miyakojima City 17END Half Marathon in Irabujima

About this event

Taking advantage of the warm climate and beautiful natural scenery, this event aims to promote health and improve physical fitness by having participants enjoy running while viewing the ocean and fully savoring the true essence of nature on scenic Irabujima and Shimojishima islands. It also contributes to tourism promotion and regional revitalization through sporting events. Three courses are available to fully enjoy the nature of Irabujima and Shimojishima. Course A is 21 km for high school students and above, starting from Heisei no Mori Park, passing through Toguchi Port and the Shimojishima peripheral road, turning around at Shiratori Cape, and finishing at Heisei no Mori Park. Course B is 8 km for elementary school students and above (preschoolers allowed if accompanied by a guardian), starting from Heisei no Mori Park, turning around on the Shimojishima peripheral road, and finishing at Heisei no Mori Park. Course C is 2 km where people of all ages can enjoy running or walking, starting from Heisei no Mori Park, passing through Tida no Sato, and returning from the turnaround point to finish at Heisei no Mori Park. Participants of high school age or younger in each course require parental consent. Venue maps and parking information for the day of the event are provided, along with guidance for smooth operation such as traffic regulations on surrounding roads and prohibition of unauthorized parking. Official tours are also currently accepting applications, allowing airline tickets, accommodation, and event entry to be arranged together.
