Held every year on November 1st in Kitadaito Village, the "Tamaki Memorial Monument Festival" is a regular festival to learn from the persevering spirit of the late Han'emon Tamaki, the founder of Daito Islands' development, and to honor his legacy. Centered around the village office, volunteers gather with the aim of praising the contributions to the island's development and passing on these great achievements to future generations. This festival is a valuable opportunity to deeply understand Kitadaito Island's history and pioneering spirit, serving as an important cultural event for local residents.
