Yaese Town 20th Anniversary YAESE Yui Festa 2026

About this event

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of its municipal organization, Yaese Town will host the quadrennial "YAESE Yui Festa 2026" on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Kochinda Athletic Park Track and Field Stadium. Marking the 20-year milestone since the birth of Yaese Town through the merger of the former Kochinda Town and Gushikami Village, this festival is held under the slogan "20 Years of Municipal Bonds: Creating Yaese's Future Together." It aims to provide an opportunity for townspeople of all generations to look back on the past 20 years, cherish local connections and culture, interact, and build the future of Yaese Town together. Fireworks displays lighting up the night sky are scheduled for both days. Stage events will feature Okinawa-affiliated musical artists, including Kariyushi58 fronted by Yaese-born Shingo Maekawa, Kiyama Shouten, Tomoya Oshiro, and Shoukichi Kina. In addition, youth Eisa performances, local traditional performing arts, and children's dance shows will enliven the venue. Field attractions include a "Real Mystery Solving Game," "Mini-Mini Amusement Park," and a "Working Vehicles Experience," alongside a "Giant Garapon Lottery" accessible by completing a questionnaire. On the first day, Saturday, October 3, the Yaese Town 20th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony will also be held.
