3rd Shiretoko Rausu Industry Festival: Ra-Ra-Ra

The "Shiretoko Rausu Industry Festival: Ra-Ra-Ra", a new event in Rausu Town that started in FY2024, will be held again this year. It features a wide variety of activities, including events held at the traditional townspeople's festival, a grand raffle, a fireworks display, and performances by street entertainers. True to the name "Bountiful Rausu", visitors can also savor the tastes of autumn with an autumn salmon and specialty goods auction, autumn salmon bare-hand catching, and free distribution of salmon roe bowls (ikura-don). It is truly a festival packed with programs embodying "Come to Rausu and have fun!" The Shiretoko Opening and Isaribi Festivals, traditional festivals created by predecessors, concluded in 2023, but starting in 2024, the festival has been held as an event that carries on the spirit and tradition of the townspeople's festival while meeting modern needs to continue for the next generation. In addition to enjoying the autumn flavors of Rausu, there are plenty of events to fully enjoy the charms of Rausu, such as autumn salmon catching, Rausu Ondo dancing, and the Shiretoko Rausu Fireworks Display.
