The 76th Asamushi Onsen Fireworks Festival

The 76th Asamushi Onsen Fireworks Festival will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Sunset Beach Asamushi in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture. The fireworks will begin launching at 19:00 and are scheduled to conclude around 20:00. In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the following day, Sunday, September 27. Organized by the Fireworks Festival Executive Committee formed by local resident volunteers, the event aims to sustain the fireworks festival as a traditional cultural event of Asamushi through extensive support, including crowdfunding. Multiple types of paid spectator seats are available at the venue: S Block (set of 2 seats: 10,000 yen) allows for relaxing viewing in reclining chairs, while A Block (1 seat: 3,000 yen) and B Block (1 seat: 1,500 yen) offer thrilling views directly in front of the launch point. In addition, lawn area C Block (reserved square: 5,000 yen per plot; unreserved admission: 1,000 yen per person) and table-and-chair D Block (1 table set: 8,000 yen) are also available. Food trucks and market stalls are planned around the venue, allowing attendees to enjoy food and drinks while watching the fireworks. For parking, the adjacent sea fishing park can be used as a paid parking lot (standard cars: from 3,000 yen), available on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Because vehicles cannot exit until visitors have cleared the venue after the fireworks, the use of public transportation (Aoimori Railway) is highly recommended. On the day of the event, venue entry begins at 13:00, the opening ceremony and organizer greetings take place at 18:50, and the fireworks display begins at 19:00.
