2nd Blue Sea and Forest Music Festival 2026

About this event

Themed around Aomori's rich nature and music, the 'Blue Sea and Forest Music Festival 2026' originated from the simple idea of wanting to play music in the hometown where one was born and raised. Multiple performances will be held during this music festival. At the 'Enjoy with Kosaka Daimao! Family Concert from Age 0,' admission is open to children from 0 years old, with Kosaka Daimao serving as the MC and performances by the Aomori Festival Orchestra. The program is scheduled to feature Mozart's Overture to 'The Marriage of Figaro,' pieces by Joe Hisaishi, and more. In addition, the 'Orchestra Concert / Aomori' will feature Handel's Harp Concerto, Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, and other works. The lineup of performers includes prominent artists such as harpist Naoko Yoshino, pianist Yukio Yokoyama, and soprano Ayaka Oki. Furthermore, the 'Special Chamber Music Performance Co-hosted by the Aomori Museum of Art' will also be held, exploring the role music should play and the mission of musicians. Through these performances, the festival aims to deliver the emotional power of music.
