Oirase Natural Museum
Japanese name:奥入瀬自然博物館
📅 Mon, Sep 7, 2026 - Sun, Sep 13, 2026
About this event
This event envisions the entire Oirase Mountain Stream as a "natural outdoor museum," presenting each element of nature—such as geology, moss, and wildflowers—as "exhibits." In fiscal year 2026, it will be held for 7 days from Monday, September 7 to Sunday, September 13. During the period, private vehicle traffic restrictions will be in place, and activities such as walking and guided tours will be provided so visitors can closely observe the nature thriving in the Oirase Mountain Stream with all five senses. On the final day, Sunday, September 13, a "Full Traffic Restriction Day" covering all vehicles, including large buses, will be introduced for the first time, featuring an opening ceremony with next-generation mobility experiences and exclusive tours. Through this, the event aims to foster tourists' understanding of natural resources and enhance visitor convenience toward building a sustainable tourism destination. The introduction of food trucks and mobile restrooms will also enhance the comfort of visitors' stays.
