About this event

The "Hokkaido Autumn Grand Harvest Festival," where autumn blessings nurtured by the rich land of Hokkaido gather together from all over the prefecture, will be held in the front garden of the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Red Brick Office Building). At this event, visitors can fully enjoy Hokkaido's food and agriculture through eating, learning, and experiencing. 58 organizations, including producers from across the prefecture, will exhibit and hold face-to-face sales of various agricultural, forestry, and fishery products such as freshly harvested new rice, new potatoes, and seasonal vegetables and fruits this autumn. In addition, delicious Hokkaido gourmet foods such as Hokkaido Wagyu beef and french fries are scheduled to be served. Furthermore, agricultural experiences in collaboration with the anime "Hyakusho Kizoku," a special talk by the author of the farming manga "Tokachi Hitoribocchi Noen," and a talk session titled "Where Did This Taste Come From? - The Journey to Making Shio-pan (Salt Bread) -" by Saya Kanagawa of Nogizaka46 will also be held. There are plenty of attractions for people of all generations, from children to adults, such as a stamp rally with a lottery to win Hokkaido ingredients. At the concurrently held "Hokkaido Nouveau Fair," visitors can enjoy products and menus utilizing "new harvest" ingredients harvested that year—such as new rice, new wheat, new potatoes, new onions, new beans, and new soba—at restaurants and shops around the venue.
