Kids Expo 2026 in Shibetsu

Kodomo Expo 2026 in Shibetsu, held in Shibetsu City, Hokkaido, is a free-admission hands-on event themed around children discovering "working" and "who they want to become" through play and experience. It will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00 at Asahi Sunrise Hall in Shibetsu City. A wide variety of activities are prepared, including a Dream Speech Contest, Kid Store Manager Experience, working vehicle exhibits, a children's fair, and a bingo tournament, allowing three generations—from preschoolers to junior high school students and parents—to enjoy together. Highlights include authentic experiences such as riding in a police patrol car and forensic identification activities with the Shibetsu Police Station, disaster rescue dog training demonstrations by the riot police unit, and a special mini ski jump experience provided by a local construction company. An English customer service experience and stage performances of YOSAKOI dance, general dance, and cheerleading by local children are also scheduled. The pre-registration Dream Speech Contest and Kid Store Manager Experience allow children to speak about their dreams and experience running a shop. The event will be held rain or shine as it takes place in an indoor venue.
