2026 Sannohe Autumn Festival

The "Sannohe Autumn Festival" traces its origins to the mikoshi (portable shrine) procession of the Sannohe Daijingu Grand Festival, and is a float festival unique to this region that has been passed down with adaptations from the Edo period to the present day. Gorgeous doll floats based on samurai scrolls and other themes created by each neighborhood association parade through downtown Sannohe Town. In addition, on the middle day, parades featuring performances by nursery school children, brass band music by elementary, junior high, and high school students, and nagashi-odori dance by the women's association make the festival even livelier. Please note that vehicle traffic restrictions will be in place on some roads during the festival period.
