The "32nd Miyako City Industry Festival," held in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, is a major autumn event bringing together specialty products such as seafood, mountain produce, processed foods, and crafts. In addition to the sale of diverse products by businesses from inside and outside Miyako City, specialty products from sister cities and friendly exchange cities (Kuroishi City in Aomori Prefecture, Tarama Village in Okinawa Prefecture, Hachimantai City in Iwate Prefecture, Daisen City in Akita Prefecture, Kamiyama Town in Tokushima Prefecture, Tomakomai City in Hokkaido, the Honshu Four Extremities Council, etc.) can also be enjoyed. At company introduction and hands-on corners hosted by local companies, organizations, and schools, there are plenty of programs for both children and adults to enjoy, such as craft experiences and a "working vehicles" display. Furthermore, a fun lottery with chances to win a Nintendo Switch 2 or PlayStation 5 and a grand bingo tournament with luxurious prizes will be held. Stage events will feature an opening ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of the sister city partnership between Miyako City and Hachimantai City, performances of Asazawa Kagura and Donpan Musume, and mochi tossing (mochimaki). On the second day, a performance by the Tsugaruishi Sansa Odori Preservation Society and a Naoko Odashiro song show are also scheduled, offering a wide variety of lively festivities.
