'Ofunato Umaimon Fun Run 2026' is a fun run event held in Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture, where participants can not only run but also experience Ofunato's 'food' and 'port scenery'. For this inaugural event, timed with the Ofunato City Industry Festival, an approximately 4 km course around the city center and port area is set up. Walking or running from Kyassen Ofunato to around the port area, you can fully enjoy the port scenery and delicious foods unique to Sanriku and Ofunato. Rather than a marathon competing for time, its appeal is that even running beginners can easily enjoy it. Special perks are also prepared, making it a valuable opportunity to savor Ofunato's regional resources with all five senses.
