32nd Kitakami River Basin Exchange E-Boat Competition

About this event

Under the slogan "Coexistence with the River," the 32nd Kitakami River Basin Exchange E-Boat Competition will be held. Even beginners can enjoy this tournament, making it great to join with family and friends. The competition features boat races with 10 people per team and is open to teams made up of 5th-grade elementary school students and above. The event is recruiting up to 60 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. The entry fee is 10,000 yen per team. Applications are accepted until August 20. Teams compete for top times in a time-trial format, with the 1st through 5th place teams determining the final rankings in a championship race. Supplementary prizes such as championship flags and local specialty products will also be awarded. First-time participating teams are encouraged to join the trial boarding session held the day before. Life jackets and other necessary gear for the race will be provided by the organizers. On the day of the event, wearing comfortable clothing and the E-Boat T-shirt is recommended. Lunch and beverages will also be provided.
