The 'Oshu Mizusawa Fireworks Festival,' long cherished as a summer tradition in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, was renewed as the 'Oshu Fireworks Festival' in 2022 with changes in timing and location. Rotating annually among different areas within Oshu City, the parking lot near Oshu Isawa Canoe Venue will serve as the viewing area in 2026 as well. This year's highlight is the fireworks launch from a dam crest, which is rare even nationwide. Thrilling fireworks will color the night sky of Oshu. Over approximately 60 minutes, 9,000 fireworks are scheduled to be launched, allowing spectators to fully enjoy the vividly blooming display.
