The 47th Oshu City Nambu Ironware Festival

The "Nambu Ironware Festival" will be held featuring Nambu ironware, designated as a traditional Japanese craft. There will be an on-the-spot sale where Nambu ironware can be purchased at once-a-year affordable prices, as well as a craft market. Additionally, casting-related events abound, including the Benkei iron geta clogs throwing contest, a tin keychain making corner, a lucky mochi rice cake toss (Saturday), complimentary tonjiru pork miso soup service (Sunday), and dance performances by the Oshu City Yakudoshiren and Toshiiwairen groups (Sunday). Cooking classes using ironware will also be held. The venues are Venue 1: Oshu City Foundry Technology Exchange Center, and Venue 2: Oshu City Traditional Industry Hall. It is accessible within a 10-minute walk from Mizusawa-Esashi Station.
