"Isawa Dam Festival 2026 in Autumn" will be held at Isawa Dam in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture. In the midst of the autumn foliage season at Isawa Dam, there are plenty of special events that cannot usually be experienced. At the food and beverage event, local specialties will be sold, featuring stalls from Sanjoku Isawa Agri Kids, Isawa Sanjoku Center Ajisai, and Shufu no Tomo. As for hands-on experience events, there will be the "Isawa Dam Embankment Climb" to climb the embankment of Isawa Dam, one of Japan's largest rock-fill dams, and the "Lake Oshu Autumn Foliage Canoe Experience" to view the autumn leaves from Lake Oshu. In addition, there will be an exhibition on project details by the Isawa Plain Land Improvement District, a festival game corner for children, and a present of freshly harvested rice for the first 50 visitors. Furthermore, as a dam festival spin-off event, a "SUP and Pilates Experience" will also be held, allowing participants to casually try SUP and Pilates.
