Held in Nemuro City, Hokkaido, the 'Nemuro Crab Festival' is an event where visitors can fully indulge in fresh Hanasaki crab, a specialty of Nemuro. Being able to purchase freshly boiled, bright red Hanasaki crab at below-market prices is a major draw, attracting crowds of people every year. The venue features boiled crab demonstrations and workshops on how to shell crab, allowing visitors not only to savor its delicious taste but also to gain deeper appreciation of its qualities. A rich lineup of stage shows will also enliven the venue. In 2026, an appearance by Leon Niihama is scheduled, making it an event to enjoy music as well.
