About this event
"Train & Trail in Yamada: Environmental Maintenance Journey Walking with a Geo-Guide" will be held in Yamada Town, Iwate Prefecture. With planning cooperation from the Yamada Town Sanriku Geopark Promotion Council, this tour allows participants to learn about Yamada Town's natural environment with a geo-guide while taking part in environmental maintenance. Utilizing the Sanriku Railway, a course departing from Miyako Station is prepared. Participants can deepen their understanding of local nature and the geopark while enjoying the beautiful scenic views of Sanriku. Through participation in environmental maintenance, it will be a valuable experience to feel a sense of contribution to the local community. The capacity is 25 participants, and the minimum number of participants required is 10. The tour fee is 2,000 yen for departure/arrival at Miyako Station and 1,000 yen for on-site departure/arrival (including transportation, admission fee, insurance, and guide fee). The application deadline is Monday, October 5.
