Sendai Michinoku YOSAKOI Festival

About this event

The 29th Sendai Michinoku YOSAKOI Festival will be held on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event theme is 'Let's Sound Together.' A total of 7 venues are planned: 6 stage venues including Kotodai Park, Nishikicho Park, Aobayama Park Sendai Ryokusaikan (Tanabata / Masamune Stage), Asuto Nagamachi Mori-no-Hiroba Park, and JR Sendai East Gate Building 1F 'Daterium', along with a parade venue on Jozenji-dori (October 11 only). Plazas, parks, and shopping streets along the Sendai City Subway Namboku Line and Tozai Line will be utilized, and the use of public transportation is recommended for traveling between venues. The event will proceed rain or shine. The event is also recruiting general judges for the contest performances, as well as non-YOSAKOI performance groups. Additionally, booth vendors are being recruited, and opening tents or food trucks is possible. The vendor recruitment period was from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 17. Preparations for the event, such as guest announcements and the completion of posters, are underway.
