Held in the Koyadate Ruin Garden inside Tenshukaku Nature Park in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, "Akiu Night Museum" is an illumination event that colors long autumn nights with fantastical light and art. Marking its 15th edition this year, the theme is "Life in the Forest." Expressing the breath of nature and the sparkle of life deeply through lighting direction, visitors can experience a fantastical, beautiful worldview unique to this year woven by Akiu's night forest. The event period runs from Friday, October 23 to Monday (National Holiday), November 23, 2026, with opening hours from 16:30 to 21:00 (last admission 20:30). Admission fees on weekdays are 1,000 yen for adults (junior high school students and above) and 500 yen for children (4 years old and above); on weekends and holidays, fees are 1,500 yen for adults (junior high school students and above) and 500 yen for children (4 years old and above). Access to the venue is about 30 minutes from bus stop No. 63 at JR Sendai Station West Exit to the "Kinoya-mae" bus stop, followed by an immediate walk, or by car about 20 minutes from Sendai-Minami IC on the Tohoku Expressway / about 30 minutes from Sendai-Miyagi IC on the Tohoku Expressway.
