Reiwa 8 Summer Tour: Grand Sumo Kesennuma Basho

About this event

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the municipal organization of Kesennuma City, the "Reiwa 8 Summer Tour: Grand Sumo Kesennuma Basho" will be held. Held in Kesennuma for the first time in 27 years since 1999, this event offers a rare opportunity to see energetic and popular sumo wrestlers up close in all their majesty. The event is packed with various special programs not seen in regular grand sumo tournaments to entertain the audience. The venue is the Kesennuma City General Gymnasium, with doors opening at 9:00 AM and the event scheduled to conclude around 2:30 PM. Ticket prices are 16,000 yen for Tamari S Seats (includes a commemorative cushion), 14,000 yen for Tamari A Seats (includes a commemorative cushion), 11,000 yen for Arena Chair Seats, 29,000 yen for Wheelchair Seats (includes on-site parking), and 7,500 yen for Stand Chair Seats. Tickets are sold via Ticket Pia, Lawson Ticket, and e+ (Eplus). The event is organized by the Grand Sumo Kesennuma Basho Executive Committee with special cooperation from Kesennuma City.
