Globetrotting Japanese Drum Troupe YAMATO Japan Tour 2026 in Miyagi Based in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, YAMATO is a globetrotting Japanese taiko drumming troupe. Since forming in 1993, they have given over 4,800 performances across 55 countries, captivating more than 10 million people in total. A powerful stage woven by various large and small Japanese drums, including a giant taiko drum over 2 meters in diameter and weighing over 500 kilograms. The overwhelming rhythm and delicate expression born from highly trained bodies are truly the music of the body. Intensity, pathos, tranquility, and dynamism—the YAMATO stage is an experience to feel with your whole body rather than just listen to sounds. It awakens the audience's inner passion and heartbeat energy, creating together a moment where you truly feel alive!
