The annual "Matsukama Factory Festival in Tagajo" will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Tagajo Factory of Matsushima Kamaboko Honpo Co., Ltd. in Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture. Customers and local community members will be welcomed with heartfelt gratitude. This year, the parking lot of the Tagajo Factory will be fully utilized to scale up the event even more than usual. Highlights include food trucks to liven up the venue and a large kids' play space where children can play to their hearts' content. Various programs are prepared so the entire family can enjoy a whole day together. At the venue, freshly grilled sasa-kamaboko (bamboo leaf-shaped fish cakes) and two types of sausages will be served for free. Guests can savor the deliciousness unique to freshly made items. Additionally, special assortment sales exclusive to the factory festival, a fun garapon raffle lottery, and sales of original merchandise are planned. The fair (ennichi) corner popular with children has also been enhanced, aiming for a factory festival enjoyable across all generations.
