Held in Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture, the 'Kurihara Autumn Pottery Festival 2026' is an event where local potters present new works, fostering regional culture and promoting the charms of Kurihara City. It is held with the aim of conveying the richness of life of citizens living in harmony with the abundant natural environment. At the venue, exhibitions and sales of works by potters living in Kurihara City will take place, and visitors can also enjoy a kimono experience (registration on November 1 only), a matcha tea experience (November 1 and 2 only), and a Coffee Stand (November 3 only). In addition, there will be sampling and sales of sake and sake vessels created through collaborations between Kurihara's potters and sake breweries, a bargain corner, and a photo snap service. This festival will be a great opportunity to experience Kurihara City's ceramic culture and rediscover its charms.
