Autumn Foliage at Lake Choro

At Lake Choro in Shichikashuku Town, Miyagi Prefecture, the beautiful lake surface spreading at the foot of Mount Fuboso is painted with autumn foliage. The reflection of the mountains on the water is mystical, captivating visitors. Surrounded by beech forests, together with the clear waters of the Yokokawa River flowing through the deep canyon, it brings a deep sense of autumn. It is especially beautiful from fresh green early summer to the autumn leaves season, revealing distinct expressions with each season. Promenades are laid out along the lakeside, allowing visitors to enjoy autumn foliage walks along the Lake Choro Circuit Course (approx. 45 min) or the course heading toward Yokokawa Gorge (approx. 15 min to Yamabiko Suspension Bridge). Fish can occasionally be spotted in the crystal-clear lake water, offering a direct feel of nature's abundance. During the peak season, kiosks, rental boats, and SUP rentals are also available.
