About this event

At the annually held 'Miyagi Grand Chrysanthemum Exhibition: Shibata Competition,' approximately 300 potted chrysanthemum flowers meticulously cultivated by chrysanthemum growers across the prefecture are exhibited together. Furthermore, with about 500 pots of chrysanthemums on display—including those from the Miyagi Prefecture Branch of the All Japan Chrysanthemum Federation, the town chrysanthemum competition, and landscape chrysanthemums—it is the largest chrysanthemum exhibition in the prefecture. Aiming to contribute to creating a hometown filled with chrysanthemums and nurturing rich-hearted people who love flowers, visitors can enjoy the splendid forms of chrysanthemums carefully grown by local ornamental chrysanthemum cultivation enthusiasts.
