Minamisanriku Sweets Picnic 2026, an event where visitors can enjoy seasonal flavors through sweets, will be held in Minamisanriku Town. Local sweet shops will offer seasonal, limited-edition original sweets made with care, using seasonal fruits and agricultural produce diligently cultivated in the town. The sweet potato theme begins on Saturday, October 17, 2026, featuring a variety of creative sweets crafted by each shop, such as cakes, parfaits, and crepes. Enjoying these sweets also supports local producers and shops, offering a picnic-style way to explore and enjoy Minamisanriku. Participating shops are also holding a stamp rally where customers collect stickers by purchasing eligible sweets, which can be exchanged for original rewards based on the number of stickers collected.
