Held at the Yagi riverbed grounds in Masuda-machi, Yokote City, Akita Prefecture, the '102nd Masuda Fireworks Display' is a historic fireworks festival organized by the Masuda Town Tourism Association and co-hosted by Yokote City. The fireworks launch is scheduled to begin at 19:00 on Monday, September 14, 2026. The sales webpage for reserved grandstand seating (sajikiseki) will open as soon as preparations are finalized. Applications are also open for corporate and personal sponsored fireworks as well as dedicatory message fireworks, with a submission deadline of Friday, August 7, 2026 (Reiwa 8). Sponsored fireworks options include individual launches (from 50,000 yen) and combination group launches (from 5,000 yen), which include benefits such as having company or organization names printed in the official event program and broadcast over the loudspeakers prior to launch. Message fireworks (from 50,000 yen) include personal names and custom messages printed in the program and announced over the loudspeakers before launch, as well as complimentary commemorative gifts and program booklets.
