Special Exhibition: Yasusaburo Hara Collection – Hokusai x Hiroshige

About this event

The ukiyo-e collection assembled by Yasusaburo Hara (1884–1982), an influential figure in the financial world, is highly acclaimed as an outstanding private collection in both quality and quantity. The landscape painting series by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige are particularly extensive, and this exhibition presents approximately 220 works centered on these pieces, including masterly original brush paintings shown for the first time. Through representative series such as "Hokusai's Fuji" and "Hiroshige's Tokaido," visitors can fully appreciate the rich world of the Edo period. Exhibits will be rotated between the first and second terms, allowing visitors to enjoy different works.
