39th Akita Funakata Bushi National Competition

In Oga City, the birthplace of Akita Funakata Bushi, a national competition will be held where many folk song enthusiasts from all over the country gather to compete with their proud singing voices. This competition aims to properly pass down, preserve, and popularize Akita Funakata Bushi, bringing together singers who love traditional culture, regardless of whether they are professionals or amateurs. General and Youth divisions will be established, and passionate singing will fill the venue. Lodging arrangements are also provided for participants traveling from afar, making it an excellent opportunity to experience the culture of Oga City.
