Furano City Museum 48th Special Exhibition: "Katsumi Imai - 100 Views of Furano Painting Exhibition"

The 'Furano 100 Views' painting exhibition by painter Katsumi Imai will be held at the Furano City Museum (inside the Furano City Lifelong Learning Center). This exhibition is a collaborative project with 'Furano 100 Views', which was serialized in the Furano edition of the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper, displaying approximately 100 paintings of Furano's famous scenic spots created so far, including works featured in the serialization. The exhibition incorporates anecdotes related to famous places, models, archaeological remains, and Buddhist statues, thoughtfully designed to unravel the history of Furano City. It provides an opportunity for both Furano residents and those unfamiliar with Furano to appreciate the city's charms. Visitors can also enjoy tracing the evolution of Katsumi Imai's paintings alongside valuable materials in the Furano City Museum collection.
