About this event

Held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the parking lot of "Picked-Up House" (Hikotta Ie) in the Rokugo urban area of Furano City, Hokkaido, the "Furano Grand Harvest Festival 2026" is held in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV drama "Kita no Kuni Kara" (From the Northern Country). With slogans such as "Remember! Goro's Way of Life" and SDGs, it takes place at "Picked-Up House," which also appeared as a filming location for the drama. On the day, "Picked-Up House" will be open to the public free of charge. Stage programs will feature the Furano Yasaka Daiko Preservation Society, a pumpkin weight-guessing contest of sincerity, performances by the Furano Wind Orchestra, a "Kita no Kuni Kara" quiz tournament, and a 45th-anniversary loud voice contest. In the craft and merchandise section, there will be candle and dried flower making and sales, Shibare glass outlet sales from Glass Forest, local vegetable sales, Ainu pattern sundries, jam sales from Furano Jam Garden, Boulangerie Rafi, Fujibayashi Shoten, and festival stalls. Numerous eateries and kitchen cars from around Furano will also set up stalls, allowing visitors to enjoy gourmet food. On the day before the event, the "Kita no Kuni Kara Camping Experience" will also be held on the grounds of "Picked-Up House," seeking participants limited to 4 groups. The event will be held from 10:00 to 15:00 and will take place rain or shine.
